I have a few things I'd like to start with. Political things. I believe that we (meaning all of us) have a responsibility to educate the ignorant. People should also take responsibility for their choices. Someone has to give shit. Don't let people pick on other people.
Liberals believe in helping the down and out. Conservatives believe in personal responsibility. Both are key. Government should help those who need it, while promoting personal responsibility and pride. That is the spirit of the New Deal. That's how we should cross the aisle: attacking problems by promoting personal responsibility and providing assistance to people who are down and out.
